Catching Fire Director Feels Bad about Jennifer Lawrences Hair

The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences Hosts An Official Academy Members Screening Of "American Hustle"

As we are sure many of you know right now, actress Jennifer Lawrence recently cut off almost all her hair.  While all the world was shocked and did not know what to make of it, the young Hunger Games actress said she had only cut it because she had to. She said that it was fried and damaged beyond repair. As much as we didn’t understand what could have caused that, seems the Catching Fire director backed it up by offering an apology for what she had to put her hair through for that movie.

E ONLINE has the details, but Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence ADMITS it was their fault her hair needed to be cut. The long story short is that the director refused to let Jennifer Lawrence use a wig as her character, and insisted she keep dying her hair for the role. As I am sure a great many of you know, dying hair fries it and often kills the root. Seems the constant dying for her role in this great series was enough to damage her hair beyond repair, which led to the recent bob cut everyone is talking about.

My thing is, why is he apologizing? We think Jennifer Lawrence’s new bob cut looks stunning on her.
